Answer (highlight to read) : Pavlov's house named after Yakov Pavlov (pic 2 ) who defended it during the Battle of Stalingrad in WWII. The famous battle also made an appearance in Call of Duty.
Sergeant Yakov Pavlov was a Russian soldier who fought to defend an apartment building, now named "Pavlov's House. The russian soldier in the video game 'Call of Duty' is assigned to find Pavlov.
Picture 1 is "Pavlov's house" in erstwhile Stalingrad, where, from where Yakov Pavlov(pic 2) and a few men held of the German advance for two whole months. This incident is referenced in CoD(pic 3)
Pavlov's house - an incident in the ww2 battle of Stalingrad where Yakov Pavlov held back the German forces from a well fortified house, a reconstructed version of which can be seen in first pic, the second shows Pavlov himself, the third shows the call of duty game in which the incident is dramatized as part of a level.
Pavlov's House. Thomas Masun's dad (those in the know, know who it is)had a German Shepard called Pavlov. Kerala being a commie state, Thomas' dad used to play the Soviet national Anthem pretty often in the morning while feeding Pavlov his breakfast. So whenever he heard the song, Pavlov used to run towards the house. So Thomas' residence was called Pavlov's house by the local kids. The other day while playing Call of Duty, I came across an episode called Pavlov's house in Stalingrad. Unfortunately it didn't have anything to do with Thomas' dog :-(
